Bible 360

Dive into God's Word with us!

READING PLAN & RESOURCES

There are LOTS of great Bible Reading plans out there. Canonical, chronological, even reading some of both the New and Old Testaments plus Psalms or Proverbs. Each has their own strengths and weaknesses and everyone has their own preferences. The most important thing to know is, reading and knowing God's Word is of VITAL importance. And if you don't PLAN to learn the Bible, most likely you WON'T. With that in mind, we have taken inspiration from many of those great reading plans and put together one of our own called "Bible 360".

KEEP IT FRESH

This plan is meant to get you through the entire Bible in 360 sittings/sessions, tackling mostly one book at a time while alternating between Old and New Testament and sprinkling in Psalms and Proverbs every 5-10 sittings. This allows you to take in each book in its entirety before changing contexts, while also making sure you don't get in a rut with a genre of writing that may be more difficult for you to stay tuned in and excited about.

START AND PAUSE ANY TIME

We know life can be busy and unexpected. Many Christians get discouraged when we "fall off the wagon" in our reading plan and see that we are days or even weeks "behind". That's why the Bible 360 plan doesn't count specific days on the calendar and allows you to make the reading schedule that works for you. Once per day? Twice a day? On your off days? All of those (and more) will work! That being said, starting in January and reading once a day will get you through the Bible in just under one calendar year, with the amount of reading required starting at a slower and more manageable pace to help you establish your habit and routine before building throughout the year.

(We will also have bookmark versions of this plan available at church

if you'd rather have a more portable and physical reminder)

A SMALL INVESTMENT WITH ETERNAL PAYOFF!

Don't let the "I don't have time" excuse keep you from the rich blessings of knowing God's Word! It's easier than you think to reprioritize your schedule and invest in something that will never fade or fizzle! The only question is, do you WANT to know God better?

(Here are some practical tips for starting this habit)

To help us get off on the right track and hold each other accountable, our church family will start the plan together along side a special Bible Study series on January 18th where we'll have an intro session on HOW to read our Bibles and then we'll come back each week to review the book of Genesis together! It's a great way to make sure we have a good foundation for the rest of the year! These sessions will be from 7-8 PM in the sanctuary at 421 N Holly Ave, Siler City.

REMEMBER: "Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up."

(1 Corinthians 8:1)

If we don't seek, read, and live out God's Word WITH LOVE,

we've gained NOTHING. (1 Corinthians 13:3)
